The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal traffic crash in Canoona this morning, August 30.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 6.20am, a utility was travelling along the Bruce Highway (Kunwarara Road) between Atkinson Road and Old Canoona Road when it left the road and crashed.

The driver, a man in his 50s, was declared deceased at the scene.

Witnesses, or anyone who saw the utility prior to the crash, are urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
