Initial investigations indicate around 3:30pm on Wednesday, May 25, a 2022 Toyota C-HR sedan was travelling eastbound on Phillips Street, while a 2007 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorbike was travelling northbound on Denham Street before the vehicles collided.

The driver of the Toyota, a 48-year-old Wavell Heights woman, was transported in a stable condition to the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital.

The rider of the motorbike, a 27-year-old Deception Bay man, was initially transported in a critical condition to the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital.

Earlier this week, the 27-year-old man died as a result of his injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash, and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or have CCTV/dashcam around the area of the time of the incident to come forward.
