A man has died following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Bowenville, northwest of Toowoomba, last night (Tuesday  November 15).

Initial investigations indicate around 7pm a black Chrysler 300C sedan was travelling eastbound on the Warrego Highway near Mason Road before colliding with a white Toyota Landcruiser 4WD travelling in the same direction.

As a result of the collision, a 50-year-old Wilsonton man, a passenger in the Chrysler, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

A male passenger from this vehicle was transported to hospital and the driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota, a 55-year-old Jondaryan man, sustained serious injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and are appealing to anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the area around the time of the incident to come forward.

Additionally, investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen the black Chrysler travelling along the highway before the incident to come forward.
