Forensic Crash Unit are investigating after a woman died in a single vehicle crash at Woowoonga this afternoon.

Preliminary inquiries indicate at 3.40pm a car was driving east on the Isis Highway when the car left the roadway and hit a tree near the intersection with Giles Road.

The driver and sole occupant, a 19-year-old Biggenden woman, died at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
