The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a 65-year-old man died following a two vehicle traffic crash on the Cunningham Highway, near Allan this morning, May 7.

Initial information indicates around 5.30am, a dual cab utility and a garbage truck crashed in a head-on collision near Link Road.

The driver of the utility, a 65-year-old man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 61-year-old man was transported to Warwick Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
