The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Boonah this afternoon, December 11.

Initial investigations indicate around 2:30pm, a white 2005 Mitsubishi Triton was travelling south along Hoya Road near Bartholomew Avenue before leaving the road and hitting a pole.

The driver and single occupant of the vehicle, a 67-year-old Hoya man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have relevant dashcam/CCTV vision to come forward.
