A 17-year-old Cooroy boy has died after being struck by a vehicle in Noosa Heads early on Sunday, 23 November. Initial investigations indicate that a Ford Ranger ute travelling along Claude Batten Drive struck the pedestrian around 1:54am. Emergency services treated the teen at the scene, but he was declared deceased a short time later. The 19-year-old driver was uninjured and is assisting police with enquiries.
