A Kybong man has died following a motorcycle crash in Chatsworth on August 20.

Initial investigations indicate just after 9.30am, a motorcycle left the Bruce Highway roadway and crashed into a guardrail.

The 61-year-old rider was transported to Gympie Hospital a critical condition.

He was then airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries on August 29.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
