Incident Overview
A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred on the afternoon of Monday, 4 August 2025, in Sandy Creek, Queensland. A 35-year-old woman died at the scene, while two young girls were transported to hospital, one with serious injuries.

  • Deceased: 35-year-old female driver from Sandy Creek
  • Injured:
    • 6-year-old girl – serious but non-life-threatening injuries
    • 2-year-old girl – minor injuries

Crash Description
Initial investigations suggest the Toyota Landcruiser was travelling north on Sandy Creek Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle was occupied by the driver and two young children. Emergency services declared the driver deceased at the scene. The children were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Investigation
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash and has appealed for public assistance.
