The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two vehicle crash at Bororen, today, June 11.

Initial information is that a Volkswagen and a truck were travelling in opposite directions on the Bruce Highway near Daisy Dell Road around 2pm, when the crash occurred.

The 63-year-old female driver of the Volkswagen died at the scene.

The 41-year-old male truck driver transported to hospital as a precaution.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam that could assist police investigations, to contact police.

The Highway is expected to reopen shortly.
