A woman has died in a two vehicle crash at Elanora late yesterday afternoon.

Initial investigation indicate at 5.45pm a motorcycle was headed west on Guineas Creek Road between Simpsons Road and Wirildar Drive when it has collided with a SUV headed in the opposite direction.

The rider, a 41-year-old Tallebudgera woman, died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, a 48-year-old Elanora woman received minor injuries.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
