Police are investigating a two vehicle fatal crash at Draper at about 1.20 this afternoon (September 27).

Initial investigations reveal the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions on Eatons Crossing Road, near Telford Court, when they collided and one vehicle left the road down an embankment.

The 50-year-old driver, and sole occupant, was initially trapped in the vehicle down the embankment.

Emergency services freed him from the vehicle and transported him to the Royal Brisbane Hospital where he passed away.

The 77-year-old driver, and sole occupant, of the other car was treated for non-life-threatening injuries to his foot.

Eaton’s Crossing Road was closed until 5pm to allow emergency crews to safely respond.

Anyone with information or relevant dash-cam footage is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
