An 18-year-old Mount Pleasant man has died following a two-vehicle collision on the Bruce Highway early on Saturday, 15 November. Police say a Mitsubishi Lancer travelling southbound collided with a semi-trailer that was turning onto Sams Road shortly after 1am. A second occupant of the car, an 18-year-old Blacks Beach man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mackay Base Hospital. The truck driver was not injured. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
