Incident Overview
A 68-year-old man has died after the SUV he was driving left the road and struck a wall at an underpass in Majura, Canberra. Australian Federal Police were first on scene and attempted lifesaving measures before paramedics arrived, but the driver died at the scene.

ACT Road Policings Major Collision Team is investigating and will prepare a report for the ACT Coroner. Police said there did not appear to be another vehicle involved, however this remains part of ongoing inquiries and the cause of death will be determined by the Coroner.

Police said the mans family was notified in Canberra and described as tight-knit, with relatives travelling to Canberra from around Australia following the death.
