The driver of the car has been charged with causing bodily harm by misconduct in charge of a motor vehicle, not stopping at a red light, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, and negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm. His license has been suspended, and he was granted conditional bail.

The driver is scheduled to appear in Burwood Local Court on December 17, 2024.
