The fatal collision occurred on Tuesday morning on the Calder Highway in Carwarp, about 30 kilometers south of Mildura. The minibus, carrying 11 passengers, was believed to be overtaking another vehicle when the driver lost control and hit a tree.

Two passengers, including Siu Manu, died at the scene of the Carwarp crash. Manu’s sister, Tuuinaifo Tu’ua Manu, expressed the family’s deep sorrow and described her brother as a kind and irreplaceable person. Three others sustained serious injuries, and the remaining four were taken to Mildura Base Hospital for observation.
