Canning Vale fatal collision
Four-year-old Layna Leavy died following a two-car collision at Canning Vale on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
Incident Details
7News reported that the cars collided at the Boardman Road and Garden Street intersection at about 3.15pm.
Death and Injuries
Layna was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital but could not be saved. Her mother and eight-year-old brother were treated at the same hospital and later discharged. The other driver suffered minor injuries.
Community Tribute
Family and community members remembered Layna for her warmth and smile, and placed flowers and toys at the intersection.

Police appealed for information about the collision.
