A 15-year-old boy is recovering in hospital from serious injuries sustained in a Bridgeman Downs crash involving a stolen vehicle. Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening just before 8 pm at the intersection of Beckett Road and Albany Creek Road in Bridgeman Downs, Brisbane. The stolen black Hyundai I30, bearing Queensland registration 905HO2, collided with a sign, causing extensive damage.

The 15-year-old passenger was seriously injured in the Bridgeman Downs crash and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. The driver fled the scene on foot and is still at large.
