A 17-year-old Clermont boy died after a utility and truck collided on the Peak Downs Highway at Blue Mountain. Queensland Police said the teenager was the sole occupant of the utility.

Police identified the vehicles as a Toyota Hilux utility and an Isuzu pantechnicon truck. The Toyota was driven by the 17-year-old boy. The truck driver was described as a man in his 20s.

Injuries and Fatalities

The teenage driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he later died. The truck driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
