Introduction
A serious collision on the M1 motorway in northern Sydney has left a man in critical condition and caused significant traffic disruptions.

Berowra Crash Overview
The incident occurred around 4 am on Friday morning at Berowra. A 42-year-old man, allegedly driving erratically, crashed his vehicle into another car on the M1 motorway.

Injuries and Emergency Response
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 42-year-old driver at the scene before rushing him to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the second car, a 30-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.

Berowra Crash Investigation and Road Closures
Following the Berowra crash, two of the three southbound lanes on the M1 motorway were closed for several hours, causing heavy traffic delays. All lanes have since reopened, but motorists are advised to allow for extra travel time. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
