Incident Overview
A 42-year-old Edmonton man was critically injured after a single-vehicle collision at Barron on Thursday evening, 18 June 2026.
Location and Time
Police attended Kamerunga Road at about 7.45pm.
Vehicle Involved
The incident involved a white 2015 four-wheel-drive utility.
Sequence of Events
Queensland Police reported that the utility left the roadway, struck a power pole and came to rest in a ditch.
Injuries
The driver was taken to Cairns Hospital, where police reported that he remained in a critical condition.
Police Investigation
The Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the collision. Police have not announced a cause.
