Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run traffic crash in Murarrie on Tuesday, October 1.

Preliminary investigations indicate around 1.05pm, a blue Mazda 3 was travelling south on the Gateway Motorway, when it was struck from behind by a blue Holden Commodore.

The Holden, with QLD registration 483KG5, continued travelling south after the crash, without stopping.

The driver and sole occupant of the Mazda 3, a 41-year-old Capalaba woman, was treated for minor injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant dashcam footage is urged to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
