Incident Overview
A fatal motorcycle crash occurred in Capalaba, southeast of Brisbane, in the early hours of Wednesday, October 1, 2025. At around 3:00 am, a black Suzuki GSX-R1000 travelling east on Duncan Road struck the rear of a stationary semi trailer that was stopped at roadworks traffic lights near the intersection with Redland Bay Road. The rider, a 42-year-old man from Runcorn, died at the scene. The truck driver, a 41-year-old man from Bellbowrie, was not physically injured.
