Police have charged a 38-year-old Broadbeach man after a stolen hearse was involved in a traffic crash at Parkwood on Friday morning, September 12, 2025. Around 4:50 am, it is alleged that a funeral business on Tonga Place was broken into and a hearse stolen. Shortly after 5:00 am, the vehicle collided with a Mercedes-Benz van and a Jaguar XE at the intersection of Olsen Avenue, Musgrave Avenue, and Napper Road.

The drivers of the Mercedes-Benz, a 61-year-old man, and the Jaguar, a 51-year-old woman, were transported to hospital for assessment. The alleged offender was arrested at the scene.
