Emergency Response
Emergency services were dispatched after the man was discovered unresponsive on Dalrymple Road in the early hours of the morning. He was transported by ambulance to Townsville University Hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. The Forensic Crash Unit secured the area and began investigations.
Investigation
Queensland Police’s Forensic Crash Unit is conducting ongoing inquiries into the incident. Police are appealing for information regarding:
- The movements of the e-scooter rider before and during the incident
- The presence and role of a blue Holden Commodore Ute seen in the area at the time
- Any potential vehicle involvement, road conditions, or external contributing factors
Police have issued reference number QP2501023506 and are seeking to identify and speak with the driver of the Holden Commodore Ute.
