A man has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle towing a trailer in the Kilcoy area on Friday afternoon, October 17, 2025.

Preliminary investigations indicate that at around 2:00 pm, a motorcycle was travelling east along the D’Aguilar Highway near Mary Smokes Creek Road in Royston when it collided with a trailer being towed by a 4WD travelling in the same direction.

The rider, a 27-year-old man from Moffat Beach, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the 4WD, a 33-year-old man from Beerwah, was not physically injured. The Forensic Crash Unit has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the fatal crash.
