Incident Overview
A fatal crash involving three vehicles occurred on the Bruce Highway at Apple Tree Creek in the Bundaberg region early Friday morning, October 10, 2025.
Preliminary investigations indicate that just before 2:00 am, a northbound Volvo Prime Mover truck collided with two southbound vehicles — a white Mazda CX-5 and a white Toyota Hilux. The passenger of the Mazda, a 14-year-old girl from Brunswick Heads, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mazda’s driver, a 22-year-old woman from Sarina, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The drivers of both the Hilux and the Prime Mover were not physically injured.
