Incident Overview
A 14-year-old boy has died after being struck by a Mitsubishi Pajero in Wynnum, east of Brisbane, on Wednesday morning, July 16, 2025. The crash occurred around 8:20 am on Berrima Street. Emergency services responded swiftly, but the teenage pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle involved was carrying three occupants, including a 17-year-old male driver. No other injuries were reported.

Emergency Response
Police and paramedics responded to Berrima Street following reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Despite efforts, the teen could not be revived. The area was cordoned off, and the Forensic Crash Unit began examining the scene.
Investigation
Queensland Police’s Forensic Crash Unit is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident. Investigative focus areas include:
- The speed and behaviour of the vehicle prior to impact
- Pedestrian movement and visibility on Berrima Street at the time
- Witness and dashcam footage to reconstruct the sequence of events
