Groundings and collisions

On 16 July 2025, allegations emerged that the expedition cruise ship Silver Cloud, operated by Silversea Cruises, caused damage to coral reefs near Alor Island, Indonesia, during a scheduled excursion stop.

In the early hours of 11 May 2025, the river cruise vessel MS Bijou du Rhône , operated by Nicko Cruises, collided with a barge on the Rhône River near the commune of Sablons in southeastern France.

On 19 April 2025, the Ro-Pax (roll-on/roll-off passenger) vessel Lite Ferry 5 ran aground approximately 200 meters from Jagna Port on Bohol Island, Philippines.

On 25 February 2025, a small passenger ferry collided with a larger oil spill recovery vessel on the Yuanshui River near Qinglang Township in Yuanling County, Hunan Province, China.

On 18 December 2024, a fatal collision occurred off the coast of Mumbai, India, between an Indian Navy speedboat undergoing engine trials and the passenger ferry Neel Kamal.

On 11 December 2024, the luxury superyacht My Aurora collided with Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas while the cruise ship was docked in Nassau, Bahamas.

On 25 November 2024, the Express 5, the world's largest fast ferry, collided with the inner breakwater while departing Ronne harbor on Bornholm Island, Denmark, en route to Ystad, Sweden.

On 11 November 2024, the inter-island RoPax ferry Maria Oliva ran aground near Romblon Port in the central Philippines.
