Viking Ullur grounding on the Danube near Vidin, Bulgaria, led to the evacuation of all 186 passengers on 28 July 2026.

Phoenix Reisen river cruise ship Anna Katharina sustained bow damage after striking the Freudenau lock in Vienna, Austria, during overnight transit on the Danube.

On 25 March 2026, the river cruise vessel A-ROSA SENA, operated by A-ROSA Cruises, struck the underside of the Amsterdamsebrug road bridge near Amsterdam while transiting from the IJ toward the Amsterdam–Rhine Canal.
