In the afternoon of November 15th, the cruise ship Viking Gymir collided with the Eisenbahnbrucke uber den Main in Miltenberg, resulting in the vessel becoming lodged and incapable of maneuvering. The incident occurred as the ship was in the process of docking, leading to the toppling of a steel bollard and the bending of a ladder due to difficulties in maneuvering.
The collision led to visible damages, including a significant indentation at the ship’s bow, extensive scratches in the paint, and destruction of the railing on the Upper Deck. Importantly, there were no reports of injuries to passengers or crew members.
