On Thursday, 5 December 2024, a 29-year-old drilling contractor, Peter Groves, was killed in a workplace accident at the Apollo Hill gold project in Western Australia’s northern Goldfields.
WorkSafe WA was notified and has commenced a formal investigation into the circumstances of the fatality. Three inspectors visited the site to conduct a thorough examination.
