On Thursday, 31 October 2024, an elderly man was critically injured when a lawnmower rolled over at Windaroo Lakes Golf Club in Logan, Queensland. The incident occurred during grounds maintenance operations and prompted an immediate response from emergency services.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) was notified and has commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. The golf club has confirmed it is cooperating fully with the investigation.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is appealing for any witnesses or co-workers who were present at Windaroo Lakes Golf Club at the time of the incident to come forward with information.
