A multimillion dollar class action has been filed against Harvey Norman and Latitude Finance. The retail giant is accused of misleading around 10,000 customers across the country over a 60 month interest free promotion, which ran between January 2020 and August 2021.

Buyers of their goods had to apply for a Go Mastercard, pay establishment fees, pay monthly fees. They must be repaid all those extra funds, plus the late fees they incurred on any late payments because that was not made clear either.

The case was mentioned today for the first time in Brisbane’s Supreme Court and will return in June.
