About this office
Our Woolloongabba office sits at 1/250 Ipswich Road, directly across from the Princess Alexandra Hospital. We opened here so that people being treated at the PA, and their families, can see a compensation lawyer without crossing the city.
The PA is one of Queensland’s major trauma hospitals and home to the state’s Spinal Injuries Unit, which takes spinal cord injury patients from across Queensland. Much of the work run from this office follows from that: catastrophic road and workplace injury, spinal and brain injury claims, and medical negligence.
If you cannot come to us, we come to you. We make appointments on the ward and at home across Brisbane’s south side, and our Brisbane CBD office at 150 Charlotte Street covers court attendances a short distance away.
Why Choose Our Woolloongabba Office
Carter Capner Law has acted for injured Queenslanders across three generations of the Carter family. This office is built around the Princess Alexandra Hospital precinct: spinal and brain injury, major trauma and medical negligence claims, alongside CTP and WorkCover matters for people living and working on Brisbane’s south side.
Compensation matters are handled on a no win, no fee* basis, so there is nothing to pay up front. Time limits are strict, and several begin running from the date of the incident rather than the date you decide to act. Call 07 3210 3418 if you are unsure where you stand.

What we do from here
Before you visit
Do I have to come into the office?
No. Most clients meet us by phone or video, and we offer home and hospital appointments. Where you live changes where we meet, not how your claim is run.
Can you see me in hospital?
Yes. We make appointments on the ward and at home across Brisbane's south side.
Is there any obligation after the first meeting?
No. You decide whether to go ahead once you know your options and the likely costs, and compensation claims are run on a no win, no fee* basis.
Strict time limits apply to injury claims in Queensland. Some start from the date of the incident. If you're unsure where you stand, call 07 3210 3418 before a deadline passes.
Prefer not to come in?
Most clients never do. We meet by phone or video, and we offer home and hospital appointments.
