About this office

Our Brisbane office is on Level 18 at 150 Charlotte Street, in the heart of the city’s legal precinct. It is the base for our Queensland compensation practice: CTP and road accident claims, WorkCover and common law work injury claims, public liability, medical negligence, and travel and aviation matters.

Brisbane claims are run a few minutes’ walk from where they are decided. The Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law at 415 George Street house the Supreme and District Courts, where Queensland personal injury proceedings are filed and heard. The Magistrates Court sits at 363 George Street, and workers’ compensation appeals go to the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.

Many of our clients are treated at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the Princess Alexandra Hospital — home to Queensland’s statewide Spinal Injuries Unit — or the Mater at South Brisbane. Our Woolloongabba office is opposite the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and we make home and hospital appointments across greater Brisbane.

Why Choose Our Brisbane CBD Office

Carter Capner Law has acted for injured Queenslanders across three generations of the Carter family. The Brisbane office covers the full range of work under Queensland’s compensation schemes: CTP claims through the Motor Accident Insurance Commission and the Nominal Defendant, WorkCover statutory and common law claims, and public liability claims under the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act.

Compensation matters are handled on a no win, no fee* basis, so there is nothing to pay up front. Time limits are strict, and several begin running from the date of the incident rather than the date you decide to act. If you are unsure where you stand, call 07 3210 3444 before a deadline passes.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes, paid parking on Charlotte Street and in the surrounding blocks. Central Station and the Queen Street bus station are a few minutes' walk.

Is the office accessible?

Yes. There is lift access to Level 18. If you need anything else to make a visit easier, tell us when you book.

Is there any obligation after the first meeting?

No. You decide whether to go ahead once you know your options and the likely costs, and compensation claims are run on a no win, no fee* basis.

Strict time limits apply to injury claims in Queensland. Some start from the date of the incident. If you're unsure where you stand, call 07 3210 3444 before a deadline passes.
