Introduction
Norwegian Sun cancelled four Baltic ports during a June 2026 voyage after a propulsion malfunction limited the ship’s maximum speed.
What Happened
The technical problem affected the vessel’s ability to maintain the planned itinerary. Four of the eight scheduled ports on the June 24 to July 3 Helsinki-to-Copenhagen cruise were cancelled.
Response and Investigation
The ship continued under restricted operating conditions while repairs were arranged. Norwegian Cruise Line advised guests about the itinerary changes and compensation. No injuries or deaths were reported.
