Circumstances:
Team Global Express flight TFX36, a Boeing 737-800 (BCF), was rolling for take-off on runway 34 at Melbourne-Tullamarine Airport when the flight crew observed a vehicle enter the runway at the intersection of runway 09/27. The crew conducted a high-speed rejected take-off.
After rejecting the take-off, the aircraft vacated the runway and remained stationary on a taxiway for approximately 15 minutes before taxiing back to the apron. The aircraft subsequently continued its operation, departing at 06:19 local time.
The ATSB was notified of the occurrence. The ICAO occurrence category recorded for the event was runway incursion (RI).
