Police have charged a 29-year-old Surfers Paradise man with multiple offences following a traffic crash involving two police vehicles at Coomera yesterday, April 21.

Emergency services were called to Anaheim Drive, Helensvale, around 1.50pm in response to an alleged domestic violence incident.

Upon police arrival, the man left the scene in a vehicle that was monitored for a short time before allegedly crashing into two police vehicles on Yaun Street in Coomera.

The two police officers who sustained minor injuries as a result of the traffic crash have since been released from hospital.

The 29-year-old has been charged one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and evasion, as well as seven domestic violence-related offences.

He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on April 22.
