Update: Fatal crash, Dalby

What happened

Incident Overview

On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, a silver-coloured Holden Commodore sedan collided with the rear of a parked prime mover on Nicholson Street in Dalby, Queensland, at approximately 1:25am. The collision claimed the lives of two occupants of the car: the 23-year-old female driver died at the scene, and a 27-year-old male passenger passed away several days later in hospital.

Queensland Police and emergency services attended the scene. The passenger was initially transported to Toowoomba Hospital in critical condition before being transferred to Princess Alexander Hospital, where he remained until his death on May 1, 2026.

Emergency Response

Queensland Police and emergency services attended the scene at Nicholson Street, Dalby. The 27-year-old passenger was transported to Toowoomba Hospital in critical condition and subsequently transferred to Princess Alexander Hospital for ongoing treatment.

Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is leading the investigation into the collision. Investigators are renewing appeals for any motorists who may have witnessed the silver Holden Commodore in the Dalby area around the time of the crash, or who may have relevant dashcam footage.
