Tiaro serious collision
A man was critically injured in a head-on car and truck collision on the Bruce Highway south of Tiaro on Monday, 27 July 2026.
Incident Details
Initial police enquiries indicated the vehicles collided on Black Swamp Creek Bridge shortly before 6.40am, causing the truck to roll.
Injuries
The 24-year-old car driver was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical but stable condition. The 49-year-old truck driver and his 43-year-old passenger were not injured.
Road Closure
The southbound lane was closed for five hours while enquiries began and later reopened.
Police Enquiries
Police said enquiries were continuing and asked anyone with information or relevant vision to contact them.
