Incident Overview
Queensland Police charged a 15-year-old Urangan boy following an investigation into a four-vehicle crash at Susan River that injured 10 people.

- A white Mitsubishi Lancer
- A white Suzuki Swift
- A red Volkswagen Polo
- An orange Hyundai Kona
Police allege the Lancer was travelling north when it lost control, crossed onto the opposite side of the road, sideswiped the Suzuki and collided head-on with the Volkswagen. Police further allege that the Hyundai, which was travelling behind the Volkswagen, then rear-ended that vehicle.
Injuries and Emergency Response
Police said 10 people were injured in the crash and taken to hospital for treatment.
Police Investigation and Charges
The boy was charged with two counts each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, and possessing dangerous drugs. He was also charged with driving without a licence and driving an unregistered vehicle.
The charges are allegations and have not been determined by a court.

Queensland Police said the boy appeared in the Hervey Bay Children’s Court on 27 August 2026.
