Detectives have charged two people with 25 offenses after two officers were injured in a traffic crash involving an alleged stolen vehicle in Rockyview, on Saturday night, April 13.

It will be alleged just after 9pm, a grey Landcruiser utility travelling on the wrong side of the road had crashed into an unmarked police vehicle on Wellington Court in Rockyview.

Two police officers sustained leg injuries from the crash and were transported to hospital where they both remain in a stable condition.

The 23-year-old driver and 22-year-old passenger of the Landcruiser were transported to hospital in stable condition and subsequently released.

The Landcruiser was reported stolen from Sugarshed Road in Glennella on April 11.

A 23-year-old Bucasia man has been charged with four counts each of stealing, three counts each of unlawful use of motor vehicle – use intended for indictable offence, two counts each of stealing of a vehicle, two counts each of driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence disqualified by court order, two counts each of using, or permitting use of, vehicle for which a number plate attached given granted for another vehicle, two counts each of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death or grievous bodily harm, two counts each of possessing dangerous drugs, two counts each of receiving tainted property firearm/ammunition, and one count each of wilful damage, unlawful use of motor vehicle, enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, authority required to possess explosives, and fail to properly dispose of needle and syringe.

He is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Monday, April 15.

A 22-year-old Mackay woman has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court on May 1.
