Police said the Toyota was driven by a 33-year-old Point Cook woman and carried a 67-year-old Point Cook woman as a passenger. The Porsche was driven by a 53-year-old Point Cook man. Later media reporting identified the two women, but their names are not necessary to explain the collision and have been omitted from this factual summary.

Injuries and Fatalities

The Toyota driver and passenger died at the scene. The Porsche driver was taken to hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.
