Incident Overview
A woman died after a three-vehicle crash on D’Aguilar Highway near Franks Lane at Wamuran on Wednesday, 19 August 2026. Queensland Police said emergency services were called shortly after 2pm.

Incident Details
Initial Queensland Police investigations indicate the Mazda and Hyundai were parked on the side of the highway, with their drivers standing outside the vehicles. Police said the Holden then collided with both vehicles and struck the Hyundai driver.
Fatality
- A 63-year-old woman from Ningi, identified by police as the Hyundai driver, died at the scene.
Police Investigation
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash. Police said a 22-year-old Deception Bay man was assisting with enquiries. The police release does not state a final cause of the collision or any legal responsibility.
