An 18-year-old man has died following a two vehicle crash at Tuan Forest, Fraser Coast, this morning (September 30).

Initial investigations indicate a green Nissan 4WD Ute was travelling along Maryborough Cooloola Road toward Tin Can Bay at approximately 6.40am, when a crash has occurred between the vehicle and an oncoming truck.

The driver of the 4WD Ute, an 18-year-old Pialba man, died from his injuries at the scene.

A 17-year-old Torquay boy, the only passenger of the 4WD, received non-life-threatening injuries.

The sole occupant of the truck, a 52-year-old Glass House Mountains man, received minor injuries.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed three 4WD Utes travelling together between Harvey Bay through Maryborough, towards Tin Can Bay early this morning.

Anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage is asked to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
