The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash at Currumbin Waters last night, December 9.

Initial investigations indicate shortly after 7pm, a Toyota Hilux was travelling north on the Pacific Motorway, when it lost control and rolled before colliding with a Kia Carnival.

The driver of the Hilux, a 20-year-old Nerang man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Three other occupants of the Hilux received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

The 44-year-old male driver and two passengers in the Kia Carnival were not injured in the incident.

Anyone with information or dashcam vision that could assist with investigations is urged to contact police.
