The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash at Carbrook last night, January 5.
Initial investigations indicate that around 7:25pm, emergency services were called to Mount Cotton Road near Coorang Road following reports of a Nissan Patrol four wheel drive crashed into a Honda Goldwing motorcycle.
Upon arrival, the rider of the motorcycle, a 63-year-old Cornubia man and his pillion passenger a 65-year-old Cornubia woman were initially treated for serious injuries but both declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, a 21-year-old Carbrook man, was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash, has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage or has witnessed the driving behaviour of either vehicle prior to the crash to come forward.
