A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car at Kybong yesterday afternoon, Sunday August 28.

Preliminary information indicates around 1.15pm a motorcyclist was travelling south Old Bruce Highway when a car has turned right from Woondun Road onto the highway colliding with the motorbike.

The rider, a 72-year-old local man died at the scene from their injuries.

The female driver of the car was taken to the Gympie Hospital with minor injuries.
