Incident Overview
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a single-vehicle crash at Albany Creek in Brisbane’s north on Thursday, 14 August 2025. An elderly man later died from injuries sustained when his car collided with a fence and fell over a retaining wall.

  • White Toyota Corolla hatchback

Injuries/Fatalities

  • Deceased: 83-year-old male driver from Albany Creek. He was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital but later died from his injuries.
  • Others: No passengers or other vehicles involved.

Crash Description
Initial investigations indicate the vehicle left the roadway, collided with a fence, and plunged over a three-metre retaining wall. Emergency services transported the driver to hospital, where he later passed away.

Investigation
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances leading to the crash. Police are seeking CCTV or dashcam footage to assist with inquiries.

Witnesses/Appeals
Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the crash to come forward.
